Project Overview - MGuru

 

Design Brief

MGuru is a startup based in Mumbai. They were invested in working with children of low-income groups, to help teach them English by using their native language. We helped them design their Android app that facilitated English learning for children of 5 -10 years age, with no or limited access to good coaching to learn English.

Team and Role

I was a UI Designer on this team led by a Senior Visual Designer and Senior UX Architect. My responsibilities included detailed interface design, character design, working to build a unified UI system and co-ordinating with developers to make the concept-market-ready.

Journey Map

In the first phase I was a part of we built the user journey map to show phases and scenarios of the user going through the product's experience and the goals of the product.

Character Design

 

In the second phase of developing the visual language and identity I designed a mascot that guides children through the activities of the app.

Pocket Guide to Butterflies

The pocket guide to butterflies is a directory and field guide to identify butterflies of the Indian subcontinent by shape of wing, color or family. It was designed for butterfliy enthusiasts with basic knowledge of the terminology.
